Welcome, I am Lee.

I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and ENDR UK.

I’m based in Haywards Heath where I see clients face to face for both long and short term counselling. I also see clients online from around the UK and further afield. I work with adults and young people, and I have specific skills in working with clients who are neurodiverse.

Working in integrative therapy means I incorporate a range of therapeutic modalities into the therapy to help it meet client needs.

Regardless of the modality, the relationship between the myself as the therapist and the client is really the key to the success of therapy in my experience.

So, to that aim I seek to promote a good therapeutic relationship which feels safe, confidential and non-judgemental to talk through your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours related to whatever you choose to bring to therapy – working collaboratively to identify the areas of your life that are troubling or distressing and agree the focus of therapy together.

Many people come to therapy simply to learn more about themselves and understand the effect of past distressing experiences, so it is not necessary to identify a specific focus or goal for therapy – for some the focus evolves during the sessions.

Prior to training as a therapist, I registered as a nurse (general and mental health) so I seek to utilise my nursing skills into my therapy practice and offer an holistic service to clients. I will explore with clients how their physical health impacts client’s mental health and vice versa.

How I can help you

Having counselling for the first time can feel nerve wracking – not knowing what to expect, anxieties about previous judgments or trust, and whether you will feel comfortable with your counsellor.

I offer a free 15-minute initial consultation, which can be online. This is a no pressure meeting, giving you a chance to tell me about what brings you to counselling and ask questions about how it will work.

I am sure you will have more questions too, but after this initial meeting it will give you a feel of how I work and whether it feels like a ‘good fit’.

EMDR Therapy

I am a registered Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) practitioner. Find out how EMDR can support you, or contact me if you’d like to book a free consultation.
